Connect to the hotspot and go to https://www.speedtest.net/
Run the speed test, and you'll have the answer. The speed will vary depending on your signal strength to the wireless carrier, among other factors.
The data transfer is unlimited, although there is a threshold within the month past which the speed will be reduced. The threshold is extremely high, though.
